The view from String Bridge, Exeter, NH

One of my favorite places .... standing on String Bridge looking to the falls near the library. It is just "so Exeter". This painting, just off the easel, is on an 11x14 deep profile canvas and has been coated with a UV resistant varnish. The image is from a photo I took on a much warmer day.... now it is just pure winter outside - burr. I hope you enjoy this small bit of visual warmth :-). Happy Holidays.

My studio is located in Art Up Front Street which is 2000 square feet of art and studios. We feel so lucky to be surrounded by art peers and fabulous creativity in uptown Exeter.

Make a day for yourself in Exeter in the area of ART UP FRONT STREET studios & gallery.

Our collective of 5 studios is a few blocks away from Phillips Exeter Academy and the Lamont Gallery with its beautiful grounds and architecture. A short drive or lovely walk is downtown Exeter with shops, cafes, river views, history....

. Life is good. Stop by. We love surprises.

ABOUT

Rose is a designer & colorist showing her original paintings at Art Up Front Street Studios and Gallery. A powerful wave of colorful abstraction has taken her over, but she still paints a few surprises that can be "interpreted" as representational.

Her studio is open four days a week Wednesday through Saturday. She shares space in a fabulous collective of artists with good energy.

She is a long time resident of Exeter, NH ....with roots and family in southern Virginia. Rose's travels up and down the east coast and her love of the New Hampshire landscape provides the inspiration for much of her work.

She lives in "uptown" Exeter in a cute little early 1900s apartment above her studio.... with her computer savvy husband who has lovely large dark brown eyes.

She loves her street, neighbors and community. She and her husband have two adults (once they were children) who are excellent at giving creative visual advice.

Rose loves animals -but not enough to eat them, dark chocolate (if you need a gift idea), and sunrises. The train stops nearby. How cool is that.
