Youth Art Month is Here...

Don’t miss this! If you want to see some fun, fresh art, look no further than the Exeter Town Hall Gallery. The Exeter Arts Committee, along with area art teachers and students, has pulled together an annual favorite… The Youth Art Show. The art is from several local schools… Lincoln Street School, Main Street School, Cooperative Middle School, Exeter High School, Swasey Central School, Newfields Elementary School, East Kingston Elementary School, ECCA, Harris Family Children’s Center, and Stratham Memorial Elementary School. The Town Hall Gallery is open Saturdays and Sundays, 12-4 through Sunday, April 18th. It is located on the second floor of the gorgeous old Exeter Town Hall right in the middle of downtown Exeter. Bring the whole family for a great outing!

Thank you ECCA!

Last night's demo at ECCA was so nice. I loved sharing and I loved the questions. Mostly artists attended, some aspiring artists and then some enthusiasts. It sounds like from the comments I have received, many felt a new passion to jump into the next phase of their art journeys. Thank you to ECCA for organizing the Community Artist Series and also to those that attended. It was so great to see you.

News and Goings On

Happy Spring... (As I write this I am listening to the sump pump hum along in my basement...!) There are several "goodies" to report. First, please, join me for a free demonstration at ECCA this Tuesday night. I am painting and speaking about my processes. It is open to all, artists or students, young or those with "great wisdom", or folks just looking for an informative night out. It is sponsored by the Exeter Center for the Creative Arts as a part of their Community Arts Series. Click the image for a larger view.
Then, if having a little "scavenger hunt" fun appeals to you, click here or on the bright green icon "St. Patrick's Day Free Drawing". I am giving away three pieces of art to three lucky people (Irish or not).
And lastly, now through the end of March, the Divine Cafe and I are offering a $20 dining gift certificate with the purchase of ANY painting at the Cafe.

Hope you have a wonderful start to spring. Enjoy!

Rose Bryant "Running Free"

SOLD This painting, "Running Free", 24x36 acrylic on canvas is now in a new home. I am always touched by the words of those that find and enjoy my art... This particular painting reminds the owner of the times she spent growing up with her grandmother and the fun she experienced surrounded by horses and a freedom to be and do as she wanted. This grandmother was supportive and caring and encouraging... a very special person to the owner... and when she visited, horses were always everywhere....
